yinquality
Alexa has gained a lot of experience in holding spaces through weekly classes, workshops, day retreats and longer retreats over the past five years. The practices of yoga and mindfulness have been deeply rooted in her daily life for over ten years. With a background in dance and other forms of movement, her asana practice has helped her dive deeper into the realms of the body and mind. Over the years she has studied and integrated a lot of knowledge through her trainings in MBSR, Western psychology, yin yoga and sound, sound massage and trauma sensitive yoga. She creates spaces where you can get in contact with the present through your body and mind, with acceptance and softness.

“I love how you teach! I always felt very supported and you always were so understanding of our journeys and our connections with our bodies. I love that you always remind us to connect with our bodies, to be kind to ourselves and I love how you never pressure anyone - each body is unique and you respect that so much.“

Testimonials
“Such great energy, thank you!”
“I was very touched by the calmness and experience you brought in. I found it incredibly exciting how open you are with people and that you actively radiate your positive philosophy of life.”
“You bring such wise words, weaving ancient tales, astrology, and symbols into real-life experiences, and encouraging us to reflect on themes that build confidence, self-understanding, and connection with others. To me, this connection to real life experience is very important, touching on the symbols but being able to meet people in the concrete world.”
“Emily, I love listening to you. Your exercises really took my inner teenager out of my comfort zone, and it wasn't always easy for me to get involved. But you have such a warm and gentle way of integrating everything that happens and finding the right words. I was impressed by your caring and wise manner.”
“The mindfulness practice was well thought out, sensitive, and very supportive. I appreciate Emily's mindful way of speaking, leaving space, and going through the process together. Time and again, she was able to sense the energy in the room, feel what the group or the individual needed at that moment—and offer exactly the right support. I felt seen, held, and noticed.”
“I loved how you gave each of us your time (to talk, to dance) and that you took time to write down some things about our stones. Thank you also for your special cacao ceremony. I felt very seen and I loved your stories about your roots and could connect with a lot you said about family dynamics, etc.”
“Emily, thank you for your words, your guidance in reflection, your metaphors—your knowledge! It was very enriching to practice with you!”
“I really appreciated your calm manner of speaking. I learned a lot and it sparked some thoughts. The group activities were inspiring and I learned a lot about myself. I thought it was great that we all came together as a group at the end to share our individual experiences.”
“Even though I always have a bit of difficulty engaging with spirituality, you have managed to give me a more relaxed, playful and individual approach to it. I also really enjoyed and benefited from the writing sessions. Since then, I have returned to my diary more often.”
“I learned so much from you…I loved the cacao ceremonies, getting to know a whole different aspect of mindfulness, gratefulness, and the background and origin of cacao.”

We thank and are grateful to:
Alexa: My parents and my family who always supported me in everything I wanted to do, this is not self-evident at all. For all the people and teachers that crossed my way and that I could learn so much from, deep and unconditional gratitude. To all the students that joined my classes, workshops and retreats, it’s always a giving and receiving from both sides and I love being able to learn from you—I’m so thankful for every single one! I am grateful for nature, to learn from nature, to be guided and endlessly inspired.
Em: The teachers I’ve met along the way for yoga, Thai massage, hilot, reiki, tai chi, somatics, meditation and mindfulness and my peers, fellow students, and participants from whom I’ve also learned so much. I’m thankful for my various lineages—ancestral, chosen, given, inherited, and restored. I am very grateful for the teachings of cacao and other plants, the animals, the elements, and our other relatives.
We thank Aurelia Egli, Bernd Ott, Muriel Rieben and Tiffany Peyrel for the photos, and Tonia Erismann for our logo, branding, and visual language.
We thank all the people who have joined us and taken the time to give us invaluable feedback, so we can continue to evolve and grow.
